We recommend to fly into Munich Airport (MUC) then drive or train to Lake Tegernsee, ~60 miles.

Train from MUC
1) From Flughafen Munchen (airport station), take the S-Bahn S8 to Hauptbahnhof (Munich Central Station)(~40 mins)
2) From Hauptbahnhof, take the Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB) regional train to Tegernsee Station(~1hr)
3) Upon arrival at Tegernsee train station, you will likely be a short drive to your hotel. Contact your hotel for complimentary shuttle services or there is a taxi stand outside the train station.
Getting Around Tegernsee
Overall Tegernsee is very walkable, but when looking to go a bit further….
The Tegernsee Ferry system is a fun and easy way to get around the lake. There are several ferry options a day and all docks are conveniently located. Checkout the timetable!
